UP Govt Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana for Pregnant Women

Uttar Pradesh state government has launched Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) across the state under which pregnant women will get financial assistance of Rs. 5000 to their baby. This amount will be moved into the bank account of beneficiary women and bank account must be attached with aadhar number.

The main objective is to enhance the delivery of child and expectant women’s wellbeing using a healthy body. According to the notification, all women  who have been pregnant after January 1, 2017 is going to be eligible to avail the benefits of this program.

PMMVY is a scheme which was declared by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi around the brand new year eve on 31st December 2016.

Below are some of the primary highlights of this scheme

  • To avail this scheme, women have to register themselves at the public health center.
  • The beneficiary must link their Aadhar card with all the banking account.
  • The Quantity of Rs. 5000 is going to be given in three installments.

Women can get first installation of Rs. 1000 at the time of pregnancy of enrollment. Second installment of Rs. 2, 000 will be gotten from women on check up after six months. Furthermore, the last installation of Rs. 2000 will be awarded after vaccination of six weeks of their baby.

Vandana Yojana, all the services during pregnancy will be provided in at identified health centers in the rural and urban ares. This scheme will cover rural as well as urban women.
