Aajeevika Grameen Express Yojana (AGEY) will be soon launched by The Ministry of Rural Development of India. This yojana will be works under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM).
Aajeevika Grameen Express Yojana will give a special focus on girls by helping the ladies inspired self help groups to create an alternative profession as well as creating jobs. The Ministry has announced that AGEY will likely be implemented throughout the India withing the period of time of 36 months from 2017-18 to 2019-20 in 250 blocks.
The Ministry of Rural Development is implementing DAY-NRLM in blocks as well as panchyat and they will be informed in regards to the amount of money allocated for them to implement this AGEY to the pilot project basis.
Basic Objectives of Aajeevika Grameen Express Yojana
The Objective of Aajeevika Grameen Express Yojana would be to Offer an Alternative source of livelihoods people who is associates of Self Help Groups (SHGs) under DAY-NRLM. Till today, 34.4 lakh women SHGs have been supported under this programe. The Aajeevika Grameen Express Yojana will ensure providing all facilities and to take care of transport services in suburban rural locations.
AGEY would also insure to offer affordable, safe and community transport vehicles to join chief services and each villages. The vehicles which will be utilized under the scheme are all, currently government is looking for this scheme vehicles only.
- 3 and 4 wheeler motorized transport vehicles
Government also focusing on other areas where AGEY would allow connectivity of rural areas that are not able to access all amenities including accessibility to markets, health and education to the area’s entire development.
Financially Support Under Aajeevika Grameen Express Yojana
Financiall support would be provided by the authorities AGEY at the Sort of Revolving Fund and Community Investment Funds. So far, Central govt. Has released a whole quantity of Rs. 1815 crore to about 3.96 lakh SHGs.
Proposed that the Community Based Organisations (CBO) will provide interest free loan out of its own funds into Self Help Group manhood for sale of their transport vehicle.
This AGEY scheme will have a focus on women empowerment also it has Been to boosting livelihoods and farm dedicated for Women farmers in rural places. These projects are focusing more on women empowerment across the country through the SHG.
